Kalinchok is a short and marvelous trek in non touristy eastern Nepal.Trekking through rhododendron forests and sparse ethnic villages , Kalinchok trek offers spectacular views of eastern Himalayas. In spring each year the entire forest on this region blooms with rhododendron flowers. The highest point on this trek is the Kalinchok hill at 3579m , which houses the shrine of goddess Kali.From the hill of Kalinchok one can enjoy the view of Annapurna, Lamjung, Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, Shisha Panga , Langtang, Dorjee Lakpa, Jugal Himal, Amabamori, Gauri Shanker, and Namburi Himal. The trailhead is few hours' drive from Kathmandu  on the Kathmandu to Charikot highway .This trek ends at another point on the same highway  making a loop. There are no lodges along this trail , hence it is a fully supported camping trek.

Itinerary

Day 01 Arrival in Kathmandu , transfer to hotel
Day 02 Guided sightseeing tour of Kathmandu
Day 03 Drive from Kathmandu to trail head and trek to Deurali
Day 04 Trek to Kalinchok hill (3579 m)
Day 05 Trek to Yak Kharka( can see lots of Yaks)
Day 06 Yak Kharka to the nearest point in the highway and drive to Kathmandu,
Evening traditional Nepali dinner with ethnic cultural show.
Day 07 Fly back home
