The Annapurna region is more popular than the Everest region among the trekkers , one reason of this popularity is the Annapurna base camp trek. This trek is not strenous, the climbing is relatively lower and the duration is short, just ten days, however the rewards are great. Within a short time frame you reach the base camp of the awsome Annapurna mountain and its glaciers. The mountain scenery is simply breathtaking.

The area below the base camp of Annapurna south is called Annapurna sancyuary. Hence this trek is often called Annapurna sanctuary trek . The trek starts at Phedi , near Pokhara and takes you through picturesque Gurung villages of Landrung and Ghandruk.These villages themselves are shorter trekking destinations, so the view along the trails are superb.Walking slowly and passing through terraced farms we reach Machhapuchare base camp on the fifth day.

Next day we pass between Hiunchuli and Machhapuchare to reach  the Annapurna base camp at 3900 m. The  scenery on the Annapurna base camp is simply dramatic to get surrounded by the towering peaks of Annapurna south and other mountains and the glaciers.

We return via Birethanti and catch our vehicle at Nayapul for Pokhara. The average walking hours is 5- 6 hours on moderate trails. This area has well developed lodge facilities, we use these lodges for eating and overnight stay, though we operate fully supported camp treks too

Day 01: Arrive Kathmandu,transfer to hotel
Day 02: Guided sightseeing tour in Kathmandu
Day 03: Early morning fly to Pokhara , sightseeing and boating in Phewa lake
Day 04: Drive to Phedi and trek to Tolka (1810m)
Day 05: Trek to Chhomrong (2040 m)
Day 06: Trek to Bamboo lodge (2340 m)
Day 07: Trek to Himalaya hotel (2900m )
Day 08: Trek to Machhapuchhre Base camp (3720 m)
Day 09: Trek  to Annapurna base camp (4095 m)
Day 10: Annapurna Base camp to Dovan (2630 m)
Day 11: Dovan to Chhomrong (2040m)
Day 12: Chhomrong to Ghandruk
Day 13: Ghandruk to Pokhara
Day 14: Fly Kathmandu, rest , shopping or walking around on your own. Farewell Nepali dinner with ethnic cultural show 
Day 15: Fly home
